Bravas – bar de tapas

Bravas is a great place in Healdsburg, if you are looking for a tapas/Spanish cuisine. The atmosphere is so calm and quiet, and they have this nice patio seating area outside, which is perfect when there is good weather. The service is kind, while not being over-the-top. We went there very recently and spent the day in Healdsburg and Petaluma.

To drink, I had a virgin mojito. It was not sweet, which I like, but also not to bitter.

We went for lunch, and the weather was so nice outside, we wanted to enjoy the meal, so we took the food in two courses. First we had patatas bravas, ham cheese and chicken croquettes, and roasted red beets.

The patatas bravas were great little toothpick starters, and the alioli with it was great. We ate them with these adorable toothpicks.

The croquetas are out of this world amazing. My favorite on the menu. They are rich, but still very good.

The red beets were a very light and simple dish, I really liked the flavors. The special part about this beet dish, was that there was cinnamon included which contributed to the flavors.

The second course was octopus and pork cheek sliders.

The pork cheek little sandwiches weren’t my favorite dish, because I didn’t like the texture very much, but the taste was still very good. They were also a little spicy, which came from the salsa verde.

The octopus was amazing, we always take it when we come here. Another one of my favorites on the menu.

It was a great meal, and I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.
